As being an island country, Japan has many sightseeing spots with beautiful seashore landscape. Representative areas are the three most scenic spots of Japan ; Matsushima (near Sendai), Amano-Hashidate (north of Kyoto ) and Miyajima (World Heritage in Hiroshima).

Marine sports are also enjoyable at many fine and safe beaches across the country. Okinawa is one of the most recommendable places especially for scuba diving to enjoy white sand beaches, coral reefs and clear ocean with various kinds of tropical fish. Swimming season in Okinawa is from April to October.

You will have a chance to meet with unique and traditional cultures in local areas such as the Setouchi Shimanami Kaido (the expressway passing through 6 islands and 7 bridges in the Seto Inland Sea), Naruto (whirling waves in Naruto City, Tokushima Pref.), Sado island(in Niigata) and Yakushima island(World Heritage in Kagoshima)
